Meet my friends, Lilia and Matthew! After a chance encounter in their apartment mailroom, Lilia and Matthew quickly realized that they were meant for each-other. It was a true joy to be a part of the special day uniting these two souls! Their love for the beautiful Catholic traditions inspired every element of the wedding ceremony and reception.
Wedding Theme
Royal. Elegant. Vintage. Lilia's theme included rich tones of Navy Blue, Gold, and hints of Purple.
A few of my favorite things...
Wedding Celebrants - The Church of St. Mark is a gorgeous church. Look at the beautiful artwork in the background! Not only did they have a few priest friends at their wedding, Archbishop Bernard Hebda was a concelebrant at their wedding.
Lilia's Veil - Who needs a long train when you have this long veil? I love the extra details on the edge with the lace flowers. Attached with a headband on the top, Lilia looked like royalty.
A Special Salute - As a tribute to Matthew and his service in the National Guard, a Saber Arch greeted the couple immediately following the ceremony. "A saber arch is a wedding tradition in which sabers or swords are used to salute a newly married couple. The bride and groom pass under an honorary arch of sabers, typically when exiting the building in which the wedding ceremony took place."
Table Decor - Apre did a fantastic job with the decor for the wedding reception. The gold chiavari chairs were my personal favorite. Another unique touch was the purple water goblets and the personalized prayer card at each spot.
