This summer wedding was a beautiful blend of timeless elegance and class with notes of intentional personalization. Amanda & Charlie got married at Our Lady of Grace in Edina (Near and dear to my own heart since that was my parish when I lived in the Twin Cities!) and hosted their reception at Edina Country Club. Every detail was thought of and Amanda's vision came to life in such a beautiful way on the day of their wedding. It was a perfect day that reflected their relationship.

Wedding Theme

Light tones of gray and blue. Fresh white florals. Elegant. Classy. Sophisticated.

A few of my favorite things...

A first look & private letter/vows - In the Catholic Church's Nuptial Mass, there are specific vows that a couple uses in the declaration of the Sacrament. This is why Catholics don't write their own vows. I loved that Amanda & Charlie wrote special vows to recite to each other as part of their first look! This is a great idea for those who want to write a personal letter or vows to exchange.

Tall Centerpiece flowers - Walking into their reception was like walking into an enchanted garden. This floral centerpieces were such a statement of grandeur! With large centerpieces like this, the key is to have height that is taller than guests, so you aren't disrupting the table conversation or ability for your guests to see across the table.

Signature Cocktails (with personalized cocktail napkins!)- I LOVE a beverage and always think its so fun when the couple can share two of their favorite drinks with their wedding guests! The extra touch of personalized cocktail napkins with a picture of their dog was the sweetest touch.

The Dessert Bar- This has also become one of my favorite trends! There are so many fun and unique dessert ideas besides the traditional tiered wedding cake option. I love that this allows you to have a great variety for your guests with something that will appeal to everyone. It makes an easy serve yourself buffet. Amanda & Charlie still had a small wedding cake that they used for a cake cutting, which was a perfect photo opportunity and memory for them.
