As the sister of the bride, maid of honor, and wedding planner, I wore multiple hats at Mary & Joseph's wedding! It was a wedding that I know both families will remember forever.
Joseph and Mary were introduced to each other in high school by a mutual friend. After a few years of solid friendship, the two began to discern if God was calling them to enter into an exclusive dating relationship. I think that you can guess how the story ends! The two were married on July 20, 2019 at the Abbey of St. Bernard. Joseph's older brother, Br. Dominic, is a monk at the abbey and helped arrange the ceremony for the couple. Even the abbot of the monastery was a guest of honor! Mary and Joseph added extra touches for their guests by personalizing the ceremony music and giving each guest customized playing cards.
Wedding Theme
Mary & Joseph wanted a simple and fun wedding that allowed for people to have a good time. We used a basic color scheme of navy blue, bright yellow, and white.
A Few of My Favorite Things
The Rings - Joseph is an electrical and computer engineer who has a love for creating . He designed and created Mary's engagement ring and his wedding band!! (He also designed Mary's bouquet! This guy is talented.)
The Abbot's Blessing - During the wedding, the abbot of St. Bernard's Abbey came forward and gave the newlywed couple the Nuptial Blessing.
Wedding Music - Both Mary and Joseph love playing and composing music together. As part of the wedding celebration, they played a few original arrangements.
Ice Cream Run - Mary and Joseph have been known to throw ice cream parties with their friends. To continue the fun on their wedding day, they took a trip to Wal-Mart (escorted by their security guards) so they could pick up dessert.
